Autorski wordmark, system, packaging i przestrzeń.
A full visual identity for a Warsaw patisserie that wanted to look as good as its pastries taste — premium, but warm. A custom wordmark, a system, packaging, and space.
Cukier to warszawska cukiernia z ambicją większą niż witryna pełna ciastek.
Cukier is a Warsaw patisserie with ambitions bigger than a display full of cakes. They wanted a brand that could stand next to the best patisserie concepts — elegant, recognizable, but without the chill of an art gallery. Sweet, but with class.
The task was easy to name and hard to do: build the identity from the ground up — from the logo, through the system, to how the brand shows up on a box, a cup, and the wall of the space.
Do tego tagline „Sweetery & More" — bo to coś więcej niż słodycze. To miejsce.
"Cukier" (Polish for "sugar") is a word everyone has known since childhood — simple, warm, familiar. But this patisserie isn't familiar in a "grandma's curtains" way. It's familiar in a "you feel good here" way. So I leaned into contrast: a very modern, finely-cut letterform meets a soft, powder palette and a human touch in the details.
Premium that doesn't intimidate. Plus the tagline "Sweetery & More" — because it's more than sweets. It's a place.
Każda litera ma własną decyzję: kropka „i" wyrównana do grubości kreski, „e" z okrągłą formą i ściętym wejściem, „r" z miękko zwężonym zakończeniem.
Z daleka — proste i czyste. Z bliska — widać robotę.
The logo isn't an off-the-shelf font — I drew the letters from scratch on a shared grid. A circle defines the counters, diagonal cuts give it rhythm, and stencil gaps make the word look crafted, not typed. Every letter carries its own decision: the dot on the "i" matched to the stem width, the "e" with a circular form and an angled cut, the "r" with a softly tapered terminal.
From afar — simple and clean. Up close — you can see the work.
A brand isn't one mark — it's a kit that holds together everywhere. The palette: powder pink, cream and marble, with the black logo as the counterpoint. A custom "scallop" pattern — soft and sweet, but geometric — runs across wrapping paper, bags and box linings. A "c" monogram condenses the brand into a single mark for a stamp, a sticker or a coaster.
All from the same family — so even a takeaway cup says it instantly: Cukier.
Najlepszy test tożsamości to przestrzeń.
The best test of an identity is space. The wordmark went on the wall as neon — the same letterform that works on a box now glows above the counter and turns the place into somewhere you want to photograph. That closes the loop: from a single letter on a grid, to a brand you can see from the street and remember after you leave.
The result is a coherent brand that looks mature at every scale — from the dot on the "i" to the neon on the wall. Cukier got an identity that isn't just pretty; it sells the thing that matters most: the feeling that this place knows what it's doing. And on the business side — a system that holds up on its own when a new product, season or location comes along.
